I moved with my husband to Chalton in 2013. We have three adult children.
I was co-opted on to Clanfield Parish Council in March 2021.
Until my retirement in 2019 I mainly worked in local schools including ones for young people with special educational needs or facing exclusion from their mainstream school.
My involvement with Clanfield Parish Council started in 2020. I was invited to join its Community Working Group as a non-Councillor because of my interest in environmental issues. My work in educational establishments involved working collaboratively with colleagues within schools and with external agencies to achieve good working outcomes. I feel these skills and experience will help me contribute well to the Parish Council and support community life.
I have a range of interests including enjoying our local surroundings through the seasons by walking, running and cycling. I am a keen open water swimmer. I am a volunteer Ranger at Queen Elizabeth Country Park.
I am involved with Extinction Rebellion (XR) Petersfield group. Along with most of the world’s leading scientists I consider environmental damage to be one of the greatest challenges for all of us. I therefore believe it is vital to work to leave our world a healthy place for future generations and hope to do so with my work within the Parish Council.
