Clanfield Parish Council and Community First are organising a village celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Sunday 5th June.
The event will be held on the field at Endal Way, behind The Clanfield Centre, and the Centre itself will also be open with indoor activities and refreshments.
All community and sports organisations in the village who may wish to take part are invited to an initial event planning meeting at The Clanfield Centre on Thursday 24th March at 7.00 pm.
Parish Council Chairman, John Bannell, said:
“The event on Sunday 5th June will be a wonderful opportunity for the village to get together to celebrate Her Majesty’s remarkable achievement of being our longest-reigning monarch, for everyone to have fun and for all the organisations in the village to showcase what they do and what they have to offer.”
Representatives of organisations that wish to attend the initial planning meeting on 24th March are invited to register their interest, in advance, with the Parish Council by emailing chair@clanfieldpc.org.uk or ringing 02392 571077 as soon as possible as this will assist the arrangements for the meeting.
