Community groups have eight weeks to bid for a share of East Hampshire District Council’s £1 million grant pot.
The council has set the massive total aside to support worthy schemes across the district over the next three years.
Clubs and groups will have an eight-week window to apply for funding, starting on Monday 1 April.
Cllr Julie Butler, Deputy Leader of East Hampshire District Council, said:
“Making £1 million available for community projects is a phenomenal achievement in the current financial climate. We are bucking the national trend by increasing our funding for the community where other councils are cutting back. Our communities are rich with clubs and groups doing amazing work and this money will help them achieve so much more.”
These grants will help community groups, either by providing a three-year funding agreement to supplement ongoing costs or by providing up to £25,000 for a one-off project.
