P16/18TO DISCUSS THE APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AS LISTED

SDNP/17/06181/ADV
Addition of Trough Lighting to Free Standing Sign The Red Lion South Lane Chalton

Reviewed and commented on: OBJECT as it is contrary to the SDNP's Dark Skies policy and that as the land belongs to Clanfield Parish Council they do not have the landowners consent for such a proposal - and are not likely to get it. The site is also within the Chalton Conservation Area - a protected area and inappropriate for illuminations of this kind.

Site visits were carried out by the Chairman and Clerk

23630/007
Conversion of offices into 6 Habitable Units - 1 South Lane

Members viewed the proposals and received input from the applicants and residents, who were objecting to the proposals and were told to write to EHDC with their concerns. After discussion it was agreed that the Council would OBJECT as there were major concerns with regards to the dangerous access on the corner of South Lane, increase in traffic movement and potential lack of parking as well as the general issue of the dangerous access, the proposed increase in the roof height on the southern side would be further over-development of the site - the mid-section is already three stories high and dominates the street-scene.

54636/002
Variation of Condition 6 of 49547/007 to allow removal of hedge and retention of Metal Railing Fence - 63 Chalton Lane

Members discussed the proposals – retrospective – and received input from the applicant – the railings were installed as a health and safety measure for access. Cllr Clarke objected but it was considered by the Chairman and Cllr Collins that the comments to be submitted would be No Objections as they had none to raise

57107/002
Single Storey Rear / Side Extension. Cladding to Rear Dormer & Gable End (Resubmission of 57107) - 7 New Road

Members viewed the proposals and received input from the applicant who explained the difference between this application and the previously agreed application – after discussion it was agreed that No Objections would be raised

57528/002
Retention of Single Storey Rear Extension - 3 Pine Tree Walk, Drift Road

Members viewed the proposals - retrospective - and received input from the resident – after discussion it was agreed that No Objections would be raised

SDNP/18/00484/HOUS Renovation and Extension of an Existing Dwelling, Single Structure for the Purpose of Car Parking and Storage following the Demolition of two existing Outbuildings – Highbank Petersfield Lane

Members viewed the proposals and received input from the applicant regarding the size of the proposed extension after discussion it was agreed that No Objections would be raised.

SDNP/18/01143/HOUS
Replacement Windows and Cladding in Matching Materials. Valley beams to be replaced with Shallow Mono-Pitch Roof to improve headroom. Pitched Roof over Porch to be replaced with Flat Roof extended for Weather Protection - 6 Barnfield Hinton Manor Lane Horndean

Members viewed the proposals and received input from the applicant regarding the balcony after discussion it was agreed that No Objections would be raised.

52322/007
Two storey extension to rear with side dormers and dormers to front - 121 Green Lane

Members viewed the proposals and after discussion agreed that the Council would OBJECT as it was considered massive overdevelopment of the site and another bungalow being converted to a two storey property

57678
Conversion of garage to Habitable Accommodation - 3 Lodsworth Close

Members viewed the proposals and after discussion agreed that No objections would be raised – it was noted that the neighbouring property had converted their garage so a precedent had been set
