58/19TO AGREE MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING
The minutes of the last meeting had been circulated and it was RESOLVED that they be duly signed as a correct record.
59/19TO DISCUSS THE APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AS LISTED:
Site visits were carried out by the Chairman and Clerk
SDNP/19/03569/OHL Overhead Cable and Pole Replacement Downley House to Old Farm Chalton
The Chairman explained that the cable and pole replacement was required as some poles needed to be higher to reduce cables sagging etc. After discussion it was agreed that although the Council appreciate that the replacement of the poles and cables is necessary it is considered that the possibility of the cables being buried underground should be explored as the above ground lines are an intrusion in the SDNP
30619/007 Two detached dwellings with ancillary parking, landscaping and associated works - 361 London Road
Members viewed the proposals and after discussion it was agreed that No Objections would be raised providing the recommendations in the ecological report are followed i.e. bat boxes, bee bricks etc and planting of native trees, also if any trees are removed from the site to enable the development they should also be replaced with native trees
58356 Greenhouse to rear - Rose Cottage, Pond Lane
Members viewed the proposal and after discussion agree that no objections would be raised
26046/003 T1 = oak tree reduction, to reduce one side of the tree by 1.5mtrs to counter balance the other side and bring the other side in by 1metre all back to good pruning nods - 31 Green Lane
After consideration and receiving input from the applicants, members agreed that they would not object so long as the arboriculturist is happy with the proposed works
31338/005 Retention of fence along western boundary and changes to levels of driveway - 96 Drift Road
Members viewed the (retrospective) proposal and after discussion agreed that the Council would OBJECT as there are concerns about the aesthetics of the installed fence due to the height and in particular the colour. The installed fence does not comply with Policy CP29 by not giving a positive contribution to the overall appearance of the area, scale, finish, colour and is totally out of keeping with the surrounding semi rural environment. With regards to the surfacing the Council request the planning officer to visit the site as there are concerns with regards to whether the surface is of a porous material
