The minutes of the last meeting had been circulated and it was RESOLVED that they be duly signed as a correct record.

P65/19TO DISCUSS THE APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AS LISTED

Site visits were carried out by the Chairman and Clerk (two sites)

23630/008 Conversion of office into 6 x 2 bed flats and 1x1 bed flat (total 7), pitched roof over existing flat roof, new hipped roof over existing second floor dormer , part two storey extension to front, two storey extension to rear and addition of a refuse and cycle store - 1 South Lane

Members viewed the application and received background information from the Chairman – after discussion
It was agreed that the Council would OBJECT to this application as there are still major concerns regarding the access to the site on the corner of South Lane. There also remains a concern regarding potential over development of the site.

20729/031 Six dwellings following demolition of existing car dealership - 31-33 South Lane

Members viewed the application and received background information from the Chairman – after discussion it was agreed that the Council would raise

No Objections to this proposal but would submit the following comments:
1. The potential contamination risk be assessed
2. With reference to plots 5 and 6 that adequate clearance be provided for any future property maintenance
3. The proposed hedge frontage be an appropriate form of evergreen i.e. yew - a proper landscape scheme be devised and adhered to
4. That site lines be acceptable with regards to visibility when exiting onto South Lane
5. That bricks for swifts be incorporated within the building walls
6. There was concern regarding pedestrian access from properties 2 and 3 in respect of health and safety with regard to the proposed 1.8 metre fencing and potential lack of visibility

53967/001 Single storey side and rear extension, replacement of dormer and porch to the front of the dwelling with the entire dwelling facades and roofs being re-clad in a contemporary simple Scandinavian aesthetic - 2 Jasmine Way

Members viewed the proposals and after discussion agreed that the Council would Object to this proposal as there are concerns with regards to the change of appearance which is not compatible with the surrounding properties and contrary to the character of the location

25072/017 T1 group of 5 beech trees on the boundary with 22 Nickleby Road - prune all five trees that overhang 22 Nickleby Road, back to the boundary - Elm Cottage, Pond Lane

Members viewed the photographs submitted and agreed that the following be submitted: It is noted that there is no arboricultural report to support this application Clanfield Parish Council suggest that advice and guidance be sought from the arboricultural officer regarding what degree of reduction is appropriate

58398 Single storey wraparound (side and rear) extension and front porch following demolition of garage - 41 Beech Road

Members viewed the proposals and received input from the applicants after discussion it was agreed that
No Objections would be raised to this proposal but the Council would prefer, in the interests of neighbours privacy, the proposed window on the side to be obscured glass

22291/016 To vary the finish surface to the access drive and turning area from that shown on site plan - revision Drwg no. 950.001 - date 12.05.2015. Change from resin bound aggregate (as shown) to "permeable loose aggregate/ gravel surface finish"- reason: to alleviate accumulation of standing rain-water/flood risk and security enhancement - The Bere, 43a Chalton Lane

After discussion it was agreed that No Objections would be raised to this retrospective application
