The administration of the Council is managed by the Clerk who is the Council’s Proper Officer and also its Responsible Financial Officer. She is a paid employee who is answerable to the Council as a whole. She provides advice and administrative support, and takes action to implement Council decisions. She is supported in this task by the Assistant Clerk.
